Navigating the Lockdown – JJ’s Women in Fish and Chips Vlog Special!

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Women in Fish and Chips Launches Vlogs to Support Shops During Crisis

A series of Vlogs have been launched by organisers of Women in Fish and Chips to share how leading shops are coping with the lockdown and plans to re-open.

Founder and organiser of the initiative, JJ Foodservice, said the Vlogs are designed to support and re-connect shop owners.

The group’s Head of Communications, Elit Rowland, said, “We have some incredible women in our network and are privileged that they have taken the time to share their stories.”

The Vlog series kicks off with Director of The Real Food Café, Sarah Heward, who reveals that having to close her Award-winning restaurant was “emotionally crucifying.”

The thriving, Tyndrum-based business was previously taking 2000-orders per day. “You can’t just shut a business up that’s going like a train,” she shares. As shops begin to slowly re-open, Sarah urges owners to “focus on the money” and not to invest in anything unless it “gives you a return”.

“As an industry, we are inclined to focus on the products and people first,” she said. “But now, the profits must be right up there with the rest.”

The Vlog series is available to watch via the JJ Foodservice YouTube channel and social media platforms.
