The Fusco family have been making delicious food in Whitby for many decades, most notably, their award-winning fish and chips, but, as their name suggests, the family has Italian roots, and they originally descend from Naples in Italy. Extended family members still reside there and holidays to visit their relatives over the years have inspired the family’s latest venture into homemade gelato after sampling the Italian offering.
“I have such fond memories visiting our relatives in Italy as a child and can remember how amazing the gelato was there. We have always sold ice cream at Quayside and Royal Fisheries and it has long been a personal ambition of mine to make our own gelato” commented Stuart Fusco.
After much time researching, learning the trade and purchasing the necessary equipment, Fusco Brothers Gelato was born. “The incredible flavours and the smoothness of gelato has always impressed me and I wanted to share this experience in Whitby” continued Stuart. The Fusco brothers now make their own gelato and sell it at their fish and chip establishments in Whitby and in Robin Hood’s Bay at Fish Box. From its launch, it has proved immensely popular with customers and now other businesses are eager to sell the brand. Stuart believes it to be the ultimate seaside experience… “What could be better? A day at the seaside, with fresh air, seafood, fish and chips, followed by premium artisan gelato!”
Fusco Brothers Gelato is sold at Quayside, on the restaurant menu and available to take-away from their kiosk (located next to the take-away), Fish Box Robin Hoods Bay, Royal Fisheries, Whitby and Betsy and Bo in Staithes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ el_class=”sticky-container”][mnky_ads id=”126076″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
