It’s Getting Ten-se! NFFF Reveal Top Ten Takeaways

Ten fish and chip shops have today been named as finalists in the Takeaway of the Year category, at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2023.

The top ten takeaways from across the UK, will now be judged further by an anonymous panel of industry experts, before announcing the winner at The National Fish and Chip Awards 2023.

The business shortlisted are:

  1. Fishermans Bay, Whitley Bay

  2. Fish Kitchen 1854, Maesycwmmer

  3. Whiteheads Fish and Chips Ltd, Hornsea

  4. Shipdeck, Trethomas

  5. The Bearded Sailor, Pudsey

  6. The Fish Bank, Sherburn in Elmet

  7. Low’s Traditional Fish & Chips, Westhill

  8. The Oyster Shell, Bath

  9. Auckley Friery, Doncaster

  10. The Fish Works, Largs

Hosted by The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), the ceremony will take place on the 28th of February 2023 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. Tickets are avaialble now and are selling very quickly. To purchase tickets please visit here.

Andrew Crook, President at the NFFF, comments “It was a tricky job whittling down the top twenty to the top ten, but the chosen takeaways have demonstrated a clear reason as to why they are deserving of this accolade. All finalists should be extremely proud and our judges are looking forward to getting stuck into the next set of judging!”
