he Bay, a pioneering fish and chip business based in Stonehaven, is celebrating after being announced as a finalist in the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards ‘Success through Partnership’ category.
The Bay was one of only three businesses shortlisted for the award, out of a record number of 272 entries across all 22 categories. The winners will be announced on Thursday 18th May at the awards ceremony and dinner, held in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).
The ‘Success through Partnership’ category has recognised The Bay’s three-year strong partnership with Compass Group UK for the distribution of the Premium Bay Batter and The Bay Fishcake.
Calum Richardson, Owner/Chef at The Bay Fish & Chips, said:
“It’s truly an honour to get to this stage and for me it signifies exactly how far The Bay Fish & Chips and I have come over the past 11 years. The awards celebrate the outstanding contribution food and drink businesses make to the success of Scotland as a worldwide food and drink destination.
