Q Partnership take on Three Peak Challenge for NF&CD!

One of the the biggest days on the fish & chip calendar – National Fish & Chip Day returns

for its 10th Anniversary in just a matter of weeks!! NEODA has been joined

once again by two leading lights in the fish and chip industry, Hook and Fish

Packaging Range – exclusively available from The Q Partnership and

Middleton Foods.

Following on from the tremendous success of the 2024 National Fish and Chip Day,

the Q Partnership (Henry Colbeck’s, Friars Pride and V.A.Whitley) return this year to

celebrate and hopefully raise a lot of money for their chosen charities.

This year, volunteers from each of the three companies aim to complete the

Yorkshire Three Peaks – A 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route and includes 1585m

(5200ft) of ascent. Consisting of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres)

and Ingleborough (723 metres).

The chosen charities are; The Fisherman’s Mission, who provide support in health

and wellbeing, welfare, emergency and family support to fishermen and their

families. Springhill Hospice, who provide the highest standard of care for patients

with life-limiting illnesses, situated in Rochdale, North-West and the British Heart

Foundation who continue to help, support and create new treatments and cures for

heart diseases.

Rob Fernandes, Marketing Manager at V.A.Whitley said “We are extremely proud

and excited to be doing this challenge. V.A.Whitley along with our friends and

colleagues across the Q Partnership are really wanting to raise the profile again of

National Fish and Chip Day – celebrating the Nations Favourite Dish. I would love to

see a day where every shop wants to get involved – it’s a great opportunity for shops

to showcase their great food! Hopefully we can also raise a lot of much needed

funds for our chosen charities – something that is very important to each of our

family-owned companies.”

Rebecca Lord, Managing Director, Friars Pride said  “The Yorkshire Three Peaks will

definitely give us a challenge!  Delicious fish & chips will be a well-earned and very

welcome treat at the end of a long day! The Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for

team Friars Pride to highlight a momentous 10 years of ‘National Fish & Chip Day’

alongside our friends at The Q Partnership as well as raise funds for three

worthwhile charities.  We hope you will be able to support us by celebrating National

Fish & Chip Day on 6th  June and make a donation to our chosen charities.”

Jodie Lee-Scott,  Marketing Executive at Henry Colbeck Ltd: "We're incredibly proud to stand alongside our Q Partnership friends in taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for such meaningful causes. National Fish & Chip Day is a huge day for our industry, and it's fantastic to mark its 10th anniversary by giving back to the communities that support us.
