A Castle Douglas chippy is holding two special events to mark its 40th anniversary this week.

Moore’s Fish and Chips celebrates the milestone on Friday, June 23.

Owner Andrew has chosen Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland in memory of his dad, Walter, who passed away in 1998 and also Alzheimer Scotland in tribute to mum Maureen, who died last year.

The couple bought the shop in 1977 after moving to Castle Douglas from Glasgow.

As part of the celebrations, Andrew is also running a raffle all this week at the shop.

Customers will be entered into the draw to win one of a wide range of fantastic prizes provided by Moore’s and their suppliers.

The draw will take place on Monday 26th and will take place live on Facebook.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ el_class=”sticky-container “][mnky_ads id=”113795”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
