I am pleased to say 2017 has been a year of growth for us. We have also enjoyed the year and attended many industry gatherings and events. Not only this but we have made some great friends too along the way.
As you know we are not just about producing a magazine for revenue purposes, but Isle of Ely Produce (our owners) are a major potato supplier to the trade. In 2017 we are set to supply over 2.5 million bags of potatoes to fish and chip shops responsible for over 90 million portions of chips.
This coupled with a well thought out platform – Chippy Chat through its magazine, website, social network, forum etc, which makes us a perfect partner to use for your marketing message.
Our features consider the needs of the advertiser and reader, front pages designed by an award winning national magazine designer, and news stories always look for new angles (due to our daily newspaper background).
Our events too the extremely well attended open day (over 120 suppliers,friers and farmers) and the Chippy Chat ball (over 220 friers suppliers and farmers) are very professional and attended by some brilliant people from across the industry.
The 2018 Open Day is on September 9th and the 2018 Chip Barons’ Ball is on December 2nd 2018. We already have many sponsors, suppliers and speakers lined up for both.
We also sponsor the only chip based award at the National Fish and Chip Awards too. The ‘Field to Frier Award’ .This is a major investment which has yielded us some great winners over the last five years, three of which have gone on to win the main takeaway title.
We have enjoyed 2017, the industry is pulling together to provide some brilliant initiatives. At Chippy Chat we are passionate about sharing best practice, and also providing a multi-media platform for all of our partners.
I would like to say thanks to you for 2017, and look forward to working with you in 2018.
