[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Kingfisher Fish & Chips, the UK’s No.1 Fish and Chip shop 2017, is helping to fight the war against plastic with a special bag for life promotion this March and April.
Throughout the two months, customers spending over £20 will receive a free bespoke Kingfisher thermal insulated bag for life. The bags, which are usually sold in the shop for £2.50 or given free with large party orders, are designed to be used in place of plastic bags. Not only do the bags keep customers’ delicious fish and chips warm but Kingfisher will replace them for free when they eventually wear out.
Kingfisher owners, Craig Maw and Nikki Mutton, are known for their passion for protecting the environment. Their seafood menu was named ‘the most sustainable in the world’ for its record number of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified species. The MSC also named Craig “Sustainable Chef of the Year 2017”. Kingfisher is also one of just two chippies to be awarded the maximum 3 star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
Craig comments, “It’s scary to think that if we don’t reduce our plastic consumption, there’s a danger that eventually there will be more plastic than fish in the sea. We’re always looking at how we can use more environmentally friendly packaging in the shop. Offering thermal insulated bags for life is just one of the ways we are doing our bit to protect the oceans. So we’re urging customers to make the most of this promotion. The bags will keep their fish supper warm and help cut the amount of plastic pollution, ensuring we can all enjoy fish and chips for years to come – what’s not to love?”
Free bags available with a minimum spend of £20. Promotion available while stocks last.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ el_class=”sticky-container “][mnky_ads id=”113588”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
