Industry award reveals best chippies for training and development


Three UK fish and chip shops are on course to achieving their goal of being named the industry’s finest for training and development at the National Fish & Chip Awards 2025.


The Training and Development category of the acclaimed awards has tasked experts from the fish and chip arena with the large project of grading chippy outlets on their commitment to its employees’ personal development and growth.


Businesses from around the country have been put to the test to showcase their roster of incentives such as training programmes, skills enhancement and additional qualifications that encourage and empower team members to see that the world is their oyster.



2024 Winners The Real Food Cafe, Tyndrum


The awards’ judging process is designed to be rigorous to ensure high standards are exceeded and continuously raised and be a catalyst to motivate chip shop teams and the industry. Three fish and chip shops have now been selected as the strongest at nurturing the next movers and shakers in the fish and chip sector following detailed examination of their businesses.


Hoping to be certified the winner like the 2024 recipient, the Real Food Café Tyndrum, Scotland, and heading to London for the awards ceremony on 26 February at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge are:
