Friars Pride team take on walk for Cancer Research
To celebrate 50 years of Friars Pride and to raise money for Cancer Research, Rebecca, Major and our Operation Managers are once again taking on a new challenge by walking 50km. The team will follow the famous Norfolk Coast Path from Cley-next-the-Sea to Hunstanton on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June, the same weekend as National Fish & Chip Day. The route will lead them through salt marshes, beaches, pine woods, farmland, and small coastal towns, including places home to some well-known fish and chip shop customers.
This challenge is not just about marking an important milestone for Friars Pride; it is about coming together to support everyone whose lives have been affected by cancer and helping to fund vital research.

Representing Friars Pride on the walk are:
· Rebecca Lord & Major Singh – Directors
· Piers O'Neill & Matt Perris – Operation Managers and Bristol Depot
· James Colwill – Poole Depot
· Lee Roberts – Plymouth Depot
· Tomasz Leszczynski – Peterborough Depot
· Mick Hayes – Nottingham Depot
· Ricky Buck – Basildon Depot
· Paul Bradley – Norwich Depot
Together, the team will take on 50km of challenging coastal terrain, including:
· Salt marshes
· Sandy beaches
· Pine woods
· Farmland
· Coastal towns along the Norfolk coastline
Cancer affects so many families, friends, colleagues, and communities, and the team hopes this challenge will help raise valuable funds for the life-saving work carried out by Cancer Research UK.
We would love for everyone to get behind the team and show their support for this worthwhile cause. If you would like to support the challenge and help raise funds for Cancer Research UK, please donate via the team’s JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/friars-pride-5?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL
We are incredibly proud of everyone taking part in this challenge and wish the team the very best as they prepare for the walk.
Please keep an eye out for updates, photos, and fundraising progress in the lead-up to the event across the Friars Pride social media channels.
