Stokes Sauces celebrate National Fish & Chip Day with top giveaway!
National Fish and Chip Day is an annual celebration held on the first Friday of June to honour the UK's iconic dish. Created by NEODA, it brings together fish and chip shops, restaurants, and consumers to celebrate the tradition and support local businesses.
National Fish & Chip Day, which this year will take place on 5 June 2026, was created to celebrate all things fish and chips and unite all those in the industry, recognising the importance and impact of the sector they are part of.
To celebrate the day Stokes Sauces, one of the sponsors is giving away three goodie bundles. Competition is open to all shop owners, staff members and suppliers. Stokes sauces are quickly becoming the condiment that your customers would like to have with their fish & chips!
All you have to do to stand a chance of winning is to email kate@stokessauces.co.uk with a picture of you/team which includes a Stokes sauce product. Winners will be chosen at random after the deadline of Wednesday 10th June 2026.

Now entering it’s second decade, National Fish & Chip Day has become a key moment in the industry calendar. Its purpose is simple but important: to shine a national spotlight on fish and chips, encourage collective celebration and remind customers, communities and the wider food sector of the enduring place this dish holds in British Life.
For it’s 10th Anniversary in 2025, National Fish & Chip Day demonstrated the strength of that shared indentity. Thousands of shops across the UK took part, using the day to engage customers, celebrate their teams and champion fish and chips at a local and national level. 440 million people saw, read or heard about National Fish & Chip Day in 2025.
This day is owned by the trade, shaped by those within it and strengthened by the participation of all shops, suppliers and public that get involved. Whether marked quietly or embraced as a wider celebration, it is a chance to come together, celebrate success and put fish and chips firmly in the spotlight, where it belongs.
The two main sponsors of the day are Hook and Fish packaging which is supplied exclusively by the Q Partnership which is made up of three family wholesalers, Friars Pride, Henry Colbeck and V A Whitley, and Middleton Foods a family owned and operated business proudly manufacturing food products such as batter mixes, breadings, curry sauce and gravy, in the heart of the UK
