Owen Whittle Joins Middleton Foods Foodservice Team

Middleton Foods, the UK’s leading manufacturer of foodservice and bakery pre-mixes, is delighted to announce the appointment of Owen Whittle as Junior Development Chef. This exciting appointment strengthens the company’s expert chef team and will see Owen focusing on school meals.

Owen brings with him a strong culinary background, a passion for food and a career spanning roles including as a commis chef, resident baker and kitchen manager. With his considerable knowledge and experience, Owen’s appointment enhances Middleton Foods’ foodservice division, with his role concentrated towards supporting education catering.

Speaking about his new role as Junior Development Chef with Middleton Foods, Owen says:

Having gained experience working in hospitality in and around Wolverhampton for the better part of a decade, I know Middleton Foods as a leading manufacturer of pre-mixes, complete with a growing product portfolio. Currently, I am working with Middleton Foods to develop nutritious and delicious mixes that are compliant with the new school food standards due to be implemented in September 2027. So far, we have showcased almost fifty new school compliant recipes to suppliers and customers across the country, and I can’t wait to support this sector and see it thrive.”
